What rights are included with the Business license?

What does it mean if an asset is licensed to a “business” or “individual”?
Assets licensed to a business include usage rights for your teams' seat holders, along with indemnification for your entity or company. You’re covered for up to $1M in indemnification and truly unlimited distribution. Your downloads can be shared across a team, department, or even entire company, depending on the teams who are covered in the license agreement.
Assets licensed to an individual provide legal coverage and usage rights for the individual license holder only. Standalone stock media files licensed to an individual cannot be shared with others. While you can share your finished projects, you do not have the rights to distribute the underlying, original stock media assets or project files.
Why does indemnification matter?
A Storyblocks license guarantees that any and all content use, as provided for in the contract, will not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party. We’ll bet our own money on it.
If claims do arise, we’ll help handle the legal claims for you and ensure you’re covered for legal payout up to your indemnification limit.
Are there other limitations?
We try to keep our licenses as restriction-free as possible, but we do have a few limitations. We've highlighted some of the most important ones below:
- You can’t re-sell or re-license any of our stock files.
- You cannot use our stock files in a way that encourages violence or for unlawful purposes.
- You cannot use our stock files as logos or trademarks.
- If there’s a recognizable person or property in one of our images or videos, we’ll clearly indicate whether that content has been “Model Released” or “Property Released.” A release means that the model or property owner gave permission for their likeness to be used in commercial projects. If you don’t see a release indicated, you can probably still use the content, but you need to get written permission from the model or property owner to be fully covered.
